Browsing
The Android apps share one set of library screens. The TV apps lay them out for the remote and the Mobile app for touch, but the content of each screen is the same.
A hero carousel of the most popular movies in your library sits at the top and moves on every 30 seconds, pausing while you’re on it. On the TV apps, press OK on the hero to open the movie; on Mobile it carries Play (or Resume) and More info buttons and can be swiped.
Below it come Continue Watching (only when you have something in progress), Recently Added Movies and New Episodes. A Continue Watching card goes straight into the player at your saved position.
Movies
Section titled “Movies”Movies has five tabs: All, Trending, New Releases, Collections and Genres. A genre opens a grid of its movies, and a collection opens a page with the collection’s artwork above its movies.
The All tab can be filtered by title, genres, a range of release years and content ratings, with Clear all to start over. While any filter is set, the Filters chip says so (Filters active on the TV apps). A letter bar jumps through the grid alphabetically on All and Collections; on the TV apps the Jump chip moves to it, and on Mobile it appears as a rail on tablets.
TV Series
Section titled “TV Series”One grid of every series, with the same filters and letter bar as the movie library.
Details
Section titled “Details”A movie’s or episode’s details page leads with Play, which reads Resume with the saved time when you’ve watched part of it. Restart appears beside it in that case and plays from the beginning. The Details tab holds ratings, dates and links; the Files tab lists each file with its resolution, codecs, HDR format, audio and size, and choosing a file plays that one. Movies and series carry a star to add them to your favorites, and a movie’s page ends with Cast and More Like This rows.
A series page has a season selector (season 0 is Specials) above that season’s episodes. An episode page adds Previous and Next cards that step through the series without returning to it.
People
Section titled “People”All, Actors and Directors tabs over a grid of everyone in your library’s credits, with a Search chip that narrows it by name. A person’s page shows their biography, birth and death dates and birthplace, with their Acting and Directing credits in rows.
Search
Section titled “Search”Search reaches the whole library from one term of two or more characters. Results come back as rows of Movies, Collections, TV Series, Episodes and People. On Mobile the results update as you type; on the TV apps the keyboard opens when you arrive, and you press OK on the field to type again.
Favorites
Section titled “Favorites”Everything you’ve starred, on Movies, TV Series and Collections tabs. Collections are starred from the web interface; the Android collection page has no star.
Titles, artwork, people and descriptions shown in screenshots are fictional and were created for illustration. Sovereign doesn't include or supply any media: it plays the library you bring.
