Admin: Jobs

The Jobs page lists every scheduled background job on the server and its recent run history.

The jobs are:

• Library sync - one job per media source (a Radarr or Sonarr instance, or a scanned movie or television directory), run every 15 minutes to keep the library in step with it. After a restart the sources are staggered so they don’t all start at once.
• Credits enrichment - fetches movie cast and director credits from the metadata provider, hourly on the hour.
• Database maintenance - daily at 03:00 UTC. Prunes activity logs, client error reports, inactive devices, sent-email records and storage samples that have passed their retention, then compacts the database.
• Asset cleanup - daily at 03:30 UTC. Reclaims on-disk asset directories that no longer belong to anything in the library, and the cached preview frames behind Continue Watching.
• Operational digest - daily at 04:00 UTC. Emails administrators a summary of job failures and client-reported errors, and sends nothing when there’s nothing to report.
• License standing - at startup and every six hours. Emails administrators when this server’s license standing changes.
• Storage sampling - at startup and then hourly. Records the disk and metadata storage figures shown on the Overview page.

Each entry shows the job’s description, the status of its latest run (Completed, Failed, Running, Vetoed or Never run), and its next scheduled run. Run starts a job straight away, and while it’s running the button becomes Stop. Expand an entry for its last five runs with their start time, duration and status, plus the full error message of any run that failed.

Sovereign runs one job at a time. A job that comes due while another is running waits a few minutes and tries again, and that attempt is listed as Failed with a message saying when it was rescheduled.
