Admin: License

The License page shows the license this server holds and is where you start a trial, buy a license, or move one here. It sits under System in the admin menu, beside Backup & Restore.

Standing

The top of the page names this server’s standing in one word, with a sentence under it saying what that means for your viewers and what, if anything, you can do about it.

License

Once the server holds a license, this section gives its plan, its license ID, when it was issued and when it expires, when this server first saw it, and when the server last checked in with the licensing service. The features the plan includes are listed beneath.

Install ID

The install ID below the license details is this server’s identity. A license is bound to it, and it’s what support asks for. The button beside it copies it.

Your Data

Once the server holds a license, the section at the bottom of the page holds Export Your Data, which downloads everything the licensing service keeps about this license as one JSON file, with a link to the privacy policy beside it. What We Hold About a License says what the file includes and leaves out.

Actions

The buttons in the top corner change with the standing, so the page only offers what can work from where the server is:

• Start Free Trial - starts this server’s one free trial. It’s gone for good once the server has had a trial. See Starting a Free Trial.
• Buy a License - offered while the server has no working license, or is on its trial. See Buying a License.
• Move a License Here - brings a purchased license over from another server, with a transfer code or the email you paid with. See Moving a License.
• Manage Billing and Transfer to Another Server - offered once the server holds a purchased license. See Managing Billing.
• Request Refund - shown for a purchased license while its latest payment can still be refunded, within 30 days of it. It asks you to confirm that the license ends straight away and that this server can’t be refunded again before it does anything. See Managing Billing.
• Disconnect - deletes the license stored on this server without cancelling anything. A trial still in its term can’t be disconnected. See Disconnecting.
