People Library

The people library lists everyone credited on a movie in your collection, as a grid of headshots with the number of movies each appears in. Only movie credits count, so your TV series don’t add anyone here. The chips across the top switch between All, Actors and Directors.

Browsing

• Alphabet bar - jump directly to names starting with a given letter (or # for names starting with a digit). Letters with nobody behind them are disabled.
• Infinite scroll - the grid loads more headshots as you scroll. This list is usually far longer than your movie list, since every film credits dozens of people.
• Filters - the Filters button beside the chips opens a panel with a search box that matches any part of a name, so “whit” finds Ambrose Whitlock.

Actors and Directors

The three chips filter the same list, and the count above the grid changes with them.

Actors and Directors each narrow to people holding that kind of credit, so someone who both acted in and directed something in your library appears under both. All is everyone. The movie count on each card follows the chip you’re on: a director’s card under Directors counts the films they directed, not everything they’re credited on.

Which list someone appears in depends on their credits on the movies you hold, whatever the metadata provider lists as their usual department. An actor who directed the one film you own shows up under Directors for that film.

Note

A person is only listed if you can reach at least one of their credits. On an account with a content rating limit, that shrinks both lists, and someone whose every credit is on a restricted title doesn’t appear at all.
